Hi,
I have been working on various parts of my V, and have come across what seems to me like a conflict. My Velocity is a FBF & FBW Std. Elite RG. The factory did not install the keel or speedbrake. Here is what I have done: -Cut out and installed the Speed brake -Installed 3 out of "5" 1/4" wood hardpoints in the keel -Installed 2 1/4 aluminum hard points at 51 1/2" forward of the gear bulk head (which places them on top of the speed brake -Installed 5 bid on both sides of the keel for the angles attachment points just above the 1/4 aluminum hardpoints. The problem is: 1) According to the manual, there should be 5 wood hardpoints installed in the keel along with a number of access holes. The manual goes on to say that two of the 1/4" wood hardpoints should be installed 51 1/2" forward of the gear bulkhead. This is directly in the same place as where the 1/4 aluminum angles need to attach to the keel. 2) There is also reference in the manual to install some access holes in the same region as the 1/4" alumunm hard points and in my kit with the FBF, there is already markings on the keel here for what looks like the location for these access holes. The question is: Is it me, or am I not the only person who is confused about this?
