Jean-Luc:

I need to clarify a few things:

1). I'm not trying to sell you anything. I am just
describing a solution offering that we have
implemented. I'm a technician by trade.

2). The Netfish DTD's are not used for organizations
to trade documents. The Netfish DTD's are used for
our transformers which transform data to X12/EDIFACT
flat file formats so that one could trade documents
with those organizations who are staying with their
EDI implementations in the immediate term. Again, the
DTD's are used for the internal processing of data and
would not be published to your trading partner
community in our specific case. We do this to allow
one to trade in the trading partner community with
those who are adamant about staying with their EDI
software solution.

3). I am responding to a number of requests from
those who have asked to see our DTD's.

4). I too await standardization and do not wish to
develop DTD's for multiple formats and also develop
Schemas when the DTD's die. This costs lots of money
and time.

5). I am just as concerned about economies of scale
as you or any other organization. We do not wish to
re-invent the wheel each time a new standard is
released.

Regards-
