As a developer, I would much rather deal with only one DTD for all versions
of X12 for all transactionsets.

Netfish provides great workflow and superior RosettaNet support. However,
the internal XML-EDI format is very cumbersome due to the different
DTDs/Schema for each individual transactionset. Luckily their product is
pure Java/XML so we can specify another file format for XML-EDI like XEDI
(XEDI has only one DTD for every version of X12 for every transactionset).
Companies like Excelon have learned this lesson and have integrated XEDI
into their B2B Integration server. Redix would probably be used in
ColdFusion web application environments, but XEDI provides the quickest
Java/XML solution.
