Rachel, appreciate the comments - but this lost me a bit - the VAN
(i,e. Doug) was asking for this feature!
Having done this live - I always prefer to control where content is
going on MY end - and not trust the enduser is not screwing it up!!!
They can send whatever they like - but if my system is pushing those
transactions into my test system based on the delivery profile I
have set on my system - I can sleep good.
With a new customer - the default is everything test until I'm happy,
then I switch only those transactions over to prod'. If they send
anything else - it still goes to test.
Would I also allow them to set a 'test' indicator on a message?
Yeah - but notice this would only work for production messages
that would go to test, NOT the other way around.
This approach really is in-line with Bruce's comments vis the
WG approach on delivering point-to-point functions. Back-end
processing is then out of scope, but labelling / versioning can
at least be carried to facilitate such details.
Thanks, DW.
