The crux of the bisquit at/in hand appears to be:

Be patient (but not much, push anyway), let/assist the "next generation
OOedi" standards get in place, and then write/construct the
translators/re-generators to "load" systems w/OOedi structures from
X12-UNEDIFACT-etc., on the assumption that that standards body is aware of
(if not give them a SHOUT) the obvious desire to then have those new OOedi
structures "slide seemlessly" (sic) into XML structures. (Rachael; you'll
make'em take care of that. Right?)

Jim Cunningham

P.S.

Hey everybody! NORMALIZE, NORMALIZE, NORMALIZE, NORMALIZE, NORMALIZE!!!
(That's five, right?).

Not JUST the "NORMAL LIES" (re:utility) of "flat" "fat" data structures.

The "wire friendly" (and thus community-of-the-wire concern for minimizing
net traffic) can more clearly and thus more likely "optimize" transmissions
between partners/correspondants etc. when data structures are
optimized/normalized (kind of a duty isn't it?).
