I finally worked out what the problem was and it seems that Java RunTime got corrupted somehow. I removed and reinstalled Java and it seems to be okay now.

The xxe.jstart that I sent you is for use by xxe.exe and not by xxe.bat. I assumed that you installed XXE using our installer (xxe-std-*-setup-nojvm.exe) and not by unzipping the xxe-std-*.zip distribution. In such case, please edit xxe.bat using notepad. At the end of this file, there is a long line starting with: --- start javaw -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true ... --- Please, replace "start javaw" by "java" in this line. Then please send us the messages displayed in the command window you used to run xxe.bat. The information in this email is confidential and may be legally privileged.
