We never really considered selling Standard Edition at USD/EUR 50 for two reasons:
* We intend to make XMLmind XML Editor a high-end product (expect Professional Edition price to *slightly* increase after we'll add support for MathML; expect a ``pricey'' collaborative XML authoring environment leveraging XMLmind XML Editor to be released next year, etc). We feel that selling Standard Edition at $50 may blur the high-end aura of these future products. * Each time we sell a product, - the credit cards companies (American Express, Visa, etc) takes a non-negligible part of the money, - our bank http://www.cyberpluspaiement.com/ takes a non-negligible part of the money, - our accountant must do some bookkeeping, send an invoice by postal mail, etc. All in all, there would be not much left of the $50 payed by the customer!
