Damn. I'm running xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.15.0-1, and I have the
bug.

I'm pretty sure there is something video related that is messing up.
Some SDL games I used to play have repeated screen freezes. Also the
flicker I see on Xournal in the 2.6.38 kernel (but not on the 2.6.32
kernel) means this can't be an Xournal problem. I'm not sure where the
problem lies though. I filed a Debian bug report with
xserver-xorg-video-intel.

They usually know this stuff well, and hopefully I get some feedback and
can get to the bottom of this.
