(II) NVIDIA(0): Virtual screen size determined to be 1400 x 1818
(--) NVIDIA(0): Display dimensions: (170, 230) mm
(--) NVIDIA(0): DPI set to (209, 200)
Virtual size 1400 x 1818 sounds right for a 1400x1024 screen above or
below a 1024x768 screen.
Something (probably config file or the monitor, via DDC) is telling the
server that the total screen display size is 170x230mm (approx 11"
diagonal).
For 75dpi fonts at that resolution you want to force the screen sizes
with lines
DisplaySize 474 356
and
DisplaySize 347 260
in the monitor sections of your config file.
Alternatively you can force the issue completely with something like
startx -- -dpi 75
