Smart-card support is only in v0.8. We tested with rdesktop and mstsc. All applications I could find worked. Even some Firefox plugins. Thanks to Gustavo for helping to test this.
Also, you need to replace libpcsclite.so v0.8 is in beta now. I have a wiki here that I can expand on.
