Since your method is the best way to support SmartCards on systems running
under Hyper-V and other similar
methods, I decided to try testing xrdp v0.8 again on a fresh CentOS 6.5 system.

I downloaded and installed pcsd-lite-1.8.11.  Then I pulled the latest xrdp git
and compiled/installed.  When I tried
to connect, it failed.  I traced that down to the xrdp startup your install
script placed in init.d; it did not work properly.
I replaced it, and tried again.  Failed again.  I traced that down to the
xrdp-sesman the install routine placed in /etc/pamd.d and
and found it did not work on CentOS 6.5.  I replaced it with the old one I
saved.

I tried to connect again and it worked.  I checked the environment and it
contained the XRDP_SESSION variable.  I then tried
to use the SmardCard, and nothing.  I did a lsusb and did not see any reference
to a smartcard reader.  I was using mstsc on
Windows 7 to connect the CentOS 6.5 system.  I made sure it was setup to pass
the SmartCard.

When I compiled xrdp 0.8,  I used all the defaults, no overrides to configure.
Any ideas on what to check to determine why the
SmartCard logic is not working?

Smart-card support is only in v0.8.  We tested with rdesktop and
mstsc.  All applications I could find worked.  Even some Firefox
plugins.  Thanks to Gustavo for helping to test this.

Also, you need to replace libpcsclite.so

v0.8 is in beta now.

I have a wiki here that I can expand on.  I'll explain what you need
to do to use it.
