The biggest mistake I made was when I was stitching on a pre-finished
potholder. I kept turning the potholder different ways to facilitate
stitching. When I was done I noticed that I had stitches going in different
directions on the different sides. Now I am very careful to make sure all my
stitches face the same way no matter how I am holding my fabric.
