What was the original use of Aidia? Was it always just for Xstitch?
What else do people use it for?
Yesterday I found out that there is a LNS in my own backyard that
carries Xstitch supplies. The store is less than five minutes from my
house, has been there for years and I never knew it. The shop is called
Country Crossroads. I went there yesterday and found they have some
nice things but Michaels has a larger selection. I purchased a box of
mixed seed beads and a leaflet of Santa's Cuisine. I love that
picture. It reminds me of my husband. He has not been impressed by
Xstitch, but when I showed him the leaflet he loved it. He says once I
finish it, he wants to have it framed under glass and keep it in our
kitchen all year long. I also ordered the one nighters leaflet of Xmas
decorations. I want to finish a couple for the tree this year. Have
any of you done enough xmas things to decorate a whole tree? I think I
want to try that.
I am not good at French Knots and have decided to use seed beads instead
of French Knots for the Home is Where the Cat Is that I am doing. The
knots were for the lamp shade and the doily on the chair back. Has
anyone else ever substituted seed beads for knots? Is this a good or
bad idea?
