Agreed. It'd be hell to try and keep text & style information in sync
without a lot of changes... while it could be done for OpenCard by changing
away from plain-text variables, it would sitll require a major rewrite...
and it would kill performance.
If you must have styled text in variables, I'd happily give you a markup
form. Or even a special binary form. But you're on your own dealing with it.
