Agreed. Good idea. From which branch should I start working to make
the merging easy? Is xtla--dev--1.2--patch-20 o.k.
Or can I use xtla--dev--1.2--patch-21?
Or should I use your main branch?

I started the work to have a kind of playground. And the way started
the structuring (file names, function names) should start a discussion.
Masatake already had a few nice ideas that I can use from now on.

The wiki is a good place to write ideas for the development down. I
think it is a good idea, that you start your work on bzr and I do some
work for mercurial. That will help to get a reusable dvc layer.
