won't sudo apt-get dist-upgrade change me from 14.04 LTS to 15.04?

Can you try running "sudo apt-get update ; sudo apt-get dist-upgrade"
(sans quotes), put the output in a pastebin (it can be rather long)
and link it here? sometimes if it's a minor error, the update manager
won't display it, such as if there's a package that's being held back
for whatever reason (this is something that's worse in Fedora, dnf
often won't give the reason certain packages are held back until you
try and upgrade the one that's the issue and only with certain flags)

I noticed an update today and I didn't get it. It appears that my
last update was in December. I am running 140.04 LTS, I think.
I just installed it on a new drive a couple o f weeks ago.
Following is the results of uname:
john@sentry35:~$ uname -a
Linux sentry35 3.13.0-74-generic #118-Ubuntu SMP Thu Dec 17
22:52:02 UTC 2015 i686 i686 i686 GNU/Linux
john@sentry35:~$
What should I do?
