I didn't follow the whole thread, so perhaps there's no need to inform
about the following. I don't remember when, but there was a release when
Ubuntu dropped kernels without PAE support for 32 bit architecture. So
assumed somebody is using an old kernel on 32 bit architecture without
PAE support, the user should first check, if the CPU could be used with
a kernel supporting PAE.
