I'm sure I went through this loop, back when it started to fail (maybe 2–3 years ago). If it had worked, I would have been delighted. Dolphin is no longer usable, and should be removed from repositories. I don't think it was their fault, unfortunately. From what I recall reading, some framework or other moved around the icons, and broke Dolphin.
