I can not answer your question about what is going on but, FWIW, I have more success installing from a DVD than from a USB drive. Of course, I can't explain why. I use an external CD/DVD drive if the PC doesn't have an internal drive.
Good luck. -- Roger Broseus Pls excuse auto-correction induzed tiepos. -----Original Message----- From: Danni Uptlen <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Wed, 05 Dec 2018 7:42 AM Subject: [xubuntu-users] Installation Issues Hi, I recently bought a lenovo D330, downloaded 18.04 and attempted to install via bootable USB. Has anyone had success with this? There is no legacy boot option, so after disabling secure boot and booting I have successfully got to the boot options of trying xubuntu/installing. After selecting either one of these, the screen flickers a few times and then eventually goes black (but stays on). Has anyone encountered this before or can tell me how I can get useful info out of what is going wrong? Thanks, Danni
