I believe it's easier to buy yourself another USB stick (they’re dirt cheap 
nowadays) than to re-install BIOS, re-install Xubuntu, re-install Windows, and 
all the other boots you may have. If I needed a single match I wouldn't grind 
and rub down the thickest and tallest tree in town until it becomes a match :)

I have tested this USB on my home computer and didn't have any issues. 
Currently updating BIOS and trying 18.04 and then 16.04 in hopes of something 
working. 

Will report back with results - I do not have high hopes.
