Well, if so many people have ATI Radeon cards then 'we' should be able to
review the current state of whether we have what we need to get the work done, 
if it already is done, or find out what is needed to implement the existing 
solution(s).

I've taken the time to see what "I" needed to do. As for anyone else, I
rather see us become proactive and as we say "just do it". I'm looking at
the kernel-side DRM now that userland is being updated. I'm also
looking at missing files needed for driver compilation (i.e. they are
usually in another package or just missing outright).

I'm talking about us making progress - not complaining. Even if only
making out bug reports on issues with the driver. We've gotten pretty
far getting userland things updated and even getting a radeon driver
from the Sun DRI team.

Just need to pick up the pieces and move on to a more progressive state
if we ever hope to accomplish anything.
