I get the same results with libvbe.so from build 16 that I get with no libvbe: the first row of asterisks in the "wait for gui login" message then solid hang. Probably significant of nothing: when I select Xsun with kdmconfig it does a boot archive update @ poweroff - when I select Xorg it does not. At least I have a boot single user option in /boot/grub/menu.lst now to save a little typing ;) Thanks, Bill
