Netti,
I uninstalled Yahoo 6 but could not find any
"yahoo" directories. I did find a few registry entries, which I duly
deleted. I then reinstalled but got the same error.
I then repeated but this time installed Yahoo 5.6
(found on the web - could not find an official Yahoo download) but got the same
result. Y!M claims the Codec is not installed, but I can see it and use
it!
Any other suggestions? There is some
indication on the Yahoo site that Windows NT is no longer supported but other
pages claim it is!
Cheers,
Paul DS

"missing" codec
some of these service packs having port issues closing
ports that it doesn't think you need. I know that's not the error
you're getting, but it is an issue.
Also make sure you have all the
updated programs you need to run yahoo. Those are needed.
have
you also totally uninstalled yahoo by the uninstall function, AND deleting
the yahoo folder then reinstall?
Does it work with older
versions of yahoo?
let me know

have a Windows NT v4.0, sp6 machine on which I've been trying to install
Y!M v6 but it keeps claiming that the TrueSpeech DSP codec is missing when
I run the audio setup. > > I've installed the codec and it
works fine with other multimedia applications but Y!M refuses to accept
that it's installed. So, any ideas? > > Thanks, >
