Make sure your Spam Guard is turned on. You do this by clicking on options
while you are logged in your email. Then click on Spam Protection. It will tell
you if Spam Guard is turned on or not. Whenever you receive a Spam or vulgar
message, just click on the spam button. You can also do this without opening
the message by checking the box to the left of the subject line and clicking.
After awhile you won't get anymore or a lot less spam. One thing you must not
do is click on a link that say something like "remove me from the database or
mailing list as this will confirm to the spammer your email address is valid.
Don't just delete the spam, report it!

Another way to combat Spam is to open another email address and use it to open
a new account at a forum site or anywhere else you are required to furnish an
email address except where you are expecting emails such as Yahoo, MSN or Lycos
groups. If you are using Firefox as a browser, they have a nifty add-on called
"Temporary Inbox. It has a toolbar and one of the buttons is Random Email. It
will generate a temporary inbox that is valid for an hour or two! It also has a
button to check your email. When you want to join a forum and where they
require a valid email, you click on random email, it will generate an email
address. You just right click to insert the temporary email. Here is an actual
sample [EMAIL PROTECTED] . Once you have filled out the forum's form and they
ask you to check your email for the validation code, you just click on the
check button and then the validation link!

I continually get vulgar requests coming into my mail. Most times
the

email used doesn't match my name exactly such as my email is

larisanageli@ yahoo.com but it will be addressed to

larisagraig@ yahoo.com. The messages in the subject line will be ones

such as "come watch me shower", "I just bought sex toys, watch me use

them at....". I am embarrassed by them and now I am starting to become

irritated and angry over them. They don't come from the same persons.

Does anyone know if I inadvertly invited such messages and if there is

any way, except to change my address, to get them to leave me alone?
