Start using http://www.Gmail.com instead of Yahoo mail. Yahoo has horrible spam filters. I rarely get any spam in my inbox through my Gmail accounts and I get hundreds of messages a day. With my one Yahoo account, I only get 1-2 emails a day and 5-6 spam emails come through with the 1-2 good ones.
As always, with any email service, it's good to check your spam folder daily to make sure good mail didn't get put into the spam folder by accident.
