This could be caused by your "My Account Info" information. With your YM open (or from other links from Yahoo websites), choose the main Messenger Menu, then My Account Info. On that page, there are several editable sections, including one with your Birthdate. Mine says "On File" behind it so I'm not sure what Birthdate I gave Yahoo when I got the account. I may have been feeling in one of my younger moods that day. ;-)
Editing your profile is a much different beast as you can change that to show whatever you like... even on a minute by minute basis but that does not affect the birthdate you gave Yahoo when you signed up for an account as that is what they use to determine your access to the various Yahoo services, some of which might be adult oriented. Your age that is showing up in Yahoo Groups as part of a summary of your profile should be the age that you edited onto your profile. Of course, with all of the Yahoo server issues that have been affecting Yahoo Groups for many, many months, I would expect to see errors in the compilation/reporting of this summary information. I know all about what you're saying I just don't understand why people can see my pic or see me when I'm stealthed... . or the people I have removed (but not deleted because I still talk to them sometimes) I set them to 'appear permanently offline' before removing them and yet they can still see my pic and tell me I do not appear to be online but yes they can see it. I use 8.1 btw, don't care for the new version. Thanks for your help. --- In Yahoo_Messenger@ yahoogroups. com, "LNVTM1 - Lenny Vasbinder" <lnv...@...> wrote: > > Did you get my long reply? > > Lenny Vasbinder
