The reasons advanced by Bandon Huntley a fellow white SA to the Canadian authorities to grant him immigration are despicable and deplorable act undermines SA nation international reputations and the commitment to rebuild international solidarity, peace and amounts to recipe for disaster in fostering national sovereignty of independent state. According to media reports our disgraced spoiled Brandon stated fear of being attacked by blacks persons because of his skin colour. Therefore be given refugee status. In my own understanding crime knows no skin colour, culture or religious affiliation. It’s insensitive and insulting for any person to spread that blacks are real source for crimes taking place and project whites as victims the crisis is far deeper than this mechanic description Given whatever form of rationalization how does country such as Canada justify it’s so “Canadians immigration authorities are feeding to this disgraced race theories that has hold many parts of the world Europe not spurred from uncalled race hostilities some leading death of innocent lives A records of atrocity includes those of Bosnia Herzegovina, Hutu and Tutsi human genocide. With these horrible acts fresh in the memory of the world population, the Canadian immigration boards’ members’ conscience must have taught serious before making public their inexcusable default decision. Brandon Huntley is but a desperate pathetic liar only seeking to demonize our fledging racially inclusive democratic social wherein minority continues to enjoy their economic material fortunate accumulated. Recent static’s presented by the Employment Equity shows that whites still occupy senior strategic managerial positions whilst their blacks with similar qualifications are left in junior levels positions. A greater section of blacks’ population’s remains at periphery of the main stream economic activity with the exception of small fraction of the emerging black business entrerpreuns ANC as the custodian of non racial society remains vigilant in striking a fair balance between the white fears and black aspirations as they continue to carry the baggage of centuries of utter neglect and marginalization in the country of their birth. The affirmative action remains a necessary contemporary mechanism to effect policy of redress in the workplace to reflect population demographics in the wheels of economy. In this short period of fifteen years of our freedom we have achieved great successes guided by our national resolve and commitment as declared in the Freedom Charter. Over and above as country we have opted for national dialogue in the from of Truth and Reconciliation Commission to deal with the horrendous crimes committed against humanity and its mind boggling to find the opportunists Brandon type characters so self consumed with their selfish narrow economic comfort zones. In diagnosing the crimes patterns one needs to take deeper analysis of various factors at play to avoid slanderous statements and falls accusations as is the case with Brandon This type of thinking blinded by the whiteness consciousness premised on the negation of anything associated with black people as a race it needs to change. This incidents show how serious race relations issues and they are embedded with rotten dogmatic definitions allocating persons societal role according to their skin colour , this continues to compromise the human race from reaching their potential to progress to higher . It’s within the SA government right to decide the form and content of policies directions to advance national agenda to give real expression to the popular views expressed by majority of South Africans. This is mandate given to ANC by majority of electorates. So far ANC has demonstrated beyond any shadow of doubts that SA of today belong to all its populations groups with no exception of either minorities and majority in terms of enjoying their equal citizenship . If the Canadian authorities were objective in their decisions they not in the first place slopped so low to come with such a disgraceful judgment. This issue has far bearing effects on the diplomatic relations flouting spirit of key multi-lateral declarations. As an unapologetic South African I take strong exception and support our international cooperation relations to demands full explanation from Canadian embassy. Otherwise Canada remains guilty as charged for suffering and harbouring the denial syndrome for doubting Africans government capacity and ability to establish sound modern democracy founded on true values and principles non-racial society. By the way we cannot wish away our past history of gross human rights abuse and today’s developmental challenges facing us, which need a systematic response and our government policies are doing their best taking into account the international trends . 1994 political break through is a product of national consensus as pursuit by the multi –parties during CODESA negotiations and there is no reneging from founding principles of this watershed agreement. It’s incumbent on our national government supported by other spheres of government to see it that South African population and foreign citizens feel secure and safe at all times and at all place within the republic. It’s not for Canada to tell us how to run affairs of our country our democracy is maturing and hence confidence shown by FIFA world soccer to grant us the honour to 2010. It’s totally incorrect on the part of Canadian authorities to bash our government national policy in dealing with matters of national interest as opposed to narrow selfish as they elevated Brandon Huntley racial stereotypes thinking mind of frame. Canada is ill -fated sympathy is itself act absurd to suggest that SA is failing to deal crime or whatever type social –economic challenges which are normal cross calamity action are and its. Neither the crime levels nor claims of victim hood can be a correct reasoning to be granted a political asylum. Reading between the fine lines there is lack of recognition on part of Brandon for all good social welfare conditions prevalent in SA immigrant since advent of democracy. A combination policy mechanism is dire need to eliminate the legacy created by a policy of separate development leaving us the dived nation on the basis of race, gender and sexual orientation. It’s taking time and huge resources to address this historic baggage and affirmative action policy is but one of the many existing policy mechanism to effect redress the racial polarization in favour of building a true non racial society. Why should our government be expected to act indifferent from addressing the plight of both whites and blacks aspirations for enduring the pains of being disenfranchised. Reconstruction and Development Program are about rebuilding our collective consciousness to occupy our rightful place as equal partners. The possibility of economic prosperity and growth must be cascaded / distributed to all and sundry maybe according their social economic material needs as determined by state in line with quest to afford all SA minimum living standards. This is a huge task but insurmountable challenge to reverse the monotonous paradigm perpetuating the creation of opposing types of citizens the one extremely rich, living in opulence, the other confined into poverty stricken conditions. We will never be discouraged by this typical suburban bliss Brandon Huntley sensationalism case. Hope that those millions of progressive fellow white South Africans will continue doing their best in the national duty to build the secured future for the good our future. We need to overcome our narrow personal individualistic selfishness, but think about our collective future. We cannot allow Afro- pessimists flag to hang like a stigma on us. No Nation is feat to judge another nation like Canada did on the Republic of South Africa. In many ways we need to continue to denounce manifestation of race supremacy. Canada Government attempts to review this decisions taken by their immigration board officials is too late, too little.
