Mr Botipe, I see many angles of a debate that can be generated by the article, you just chose one and concluded that all members of the forum think like you.
For example, Plekhanov wrote about the role of an individual many years ago, why don't you think members of the forum can discuss that seminal contribution by Plekhanov. In trying to stop the debate, you start a debate about disrespect for ANC decisions and you went further to comment on the outcome of the DC and what it will not do. You are wrong. I am sure supporters of Mr Goniwe, they included Mbeki at the time who was a sitting President, wished for a different outcome, but the ANC took a decision and because they are not the ANC as individuals, the decision of the ANC stood and today Mr Goniwe is in the dustbin of our short history as a democratic country. The similar thing happened to the General of the Transkei Defence Force, the man who provided a shelter for our own Thembisile Hani in Transkei, he had the support of powerful people in the ANC who all respected the decision of the ANC. Who are you as compared to those people? It is interesting that you want to reduce President Zuma into SALGA on the SAMWU dispute.Current SALGA is led by the same people that led it under President Mbeki because local government elections is only next year. We need to win the local governments elections and for that we need the ANC to be branded properly with no individual presenting himself or herself as the ANC. Do not undermine the intelligence of members of the forum. The ANC decision must be respected on this matter. The accused will not gain anything by grandstanding in public, the due process will need to be followed when it starts. Regards, Sabelo.
