hello cdes i do hear and agree with most of the views here cdes its very much sad when people lose livesand we call it a casuality, its very much painfull when people lose their lives due to them being the third party in the struggle for wages, and i do agree that essential services are called essential because they do esssential anad critical work. and i do think that if we can opperate for a long time without this services as unions, govement and the general public we will all lose alot and this cdes are very right the life lost cannot be replaced cdes. but i also have a very big confussion if not anger cdes howcome our own goverment is failing to reach a settlement with thhne unions. one fact that we can all agree on in any strike be it its a worker strike or student strike is that we can never strike forever and we can never even agree to strike forever at some point the strike will reach its conclussion. the question is when? why cant both parties agree that this will be a common offer agreed upon? why must people die? and why do we expect people doin essentgial service to live below the basic standard line? teachers give birth to all proffessions indeed all careers are born of teaching but the very same careers will be paid more than teaching as if teaching didnt create them why? nurses save lives so why cant they be paid decent wages?why cant they qualify for goverment bonds? i still maintain that i agree with the SANMVA when they say the right to life must be protected at all costs, that violence must be stopped at all costs and that patients shouldnt lose life. but then again we should consider this legitimate workers demand as well our focus and conserns should on the unions and gorvement finding common ground on this issue and for a speedy recorvery i really dont believe that workers dobnt want to go back to work but they just want a decnt pay for a decent work.
lets hope that an amicable solution will be found, and i fear that now we will witness physical interaction between the striking workers and the law and also those cdes who will be at serive point like THE SANMVA and with all honesty maqabane i hope that it doesnt come to that. i really hope that our union leaders continue the good job they were doing of condeming violence and let workers who strike not intemidate others and we resolve this issue, THE WORKERS WHO GO TO WORK CDES MUST BE LET TO DO WORK as hard as that may sound but lets avoid dividing the attention of the strike by creating violent acts maqabane.
