I checked - all 81 of your posts with the katrina tag are on the
http://del.icio.us/tag/katrina pages.
There were about 20 instances when I updated extended descriptions
and those entries didn't move to the top of the tag list. In other
cases, they did.
The link must have dropped off the popular page because people were
not bookmarking it as often over the last few days.
The algorithm for the http://del.icio.us/popular/katrina page picks
what to show by looking at the last few thousand links with the
katrina tag - it measures recently popular rather than all-time
popular.
So, here's a specific example. I added new information to the
extended field for this entry:
WWLTV.com | News for New Orleans, Louisiana
The best source of news highlights from NOLA.
to hurricanekatrina katrina news media neworleans ... and 53 other
people ... on 2005-09-01 ... edit / delete
After saving it, that entry does not show up at the top of my /
katrina/ list or the main /tag/katrina/ list. It stayed in original
post order.
My point is this: there are times when new information appears at a
URL. Is only the original post date used?
