I am completely with you. I hate forums. They take way too long to go through, does not fit in with my daily workflow, and frankly, when a list moves to a forum, I rarely visit it. Heck, I hate digest lists for the same reason. I want to be able to filter, delete, and respond as needed. Between work and personal, I get approximately 1500 email a day so forums do not stand a chance. <G>

I'm on the exact opposite and never keep up with online forums, I want

clicks and login and cutsy icons and whatnot. I can follow 10 email
lists at one swoop glance and digest as much as I can with one single
online forum. But that's me. People trying to tell me how "out" list
servers are but well, if you really want to work through high volume of
messages you really don't want to click your way through it all. I do
hope there are enough others who share some of my viewpoints and that
this list won't die.

Forums = YES!!! I strongly suggest and support the use of phpBB or some
such thing. I guess I hae no problem with signing up for one of these
things, given the huge increase in utility, ease of searching, etc. I
for one can never find anything in mailing list archives.
