you shouldn't be able to delete that category. It has an 'ID' of 1 and is a reserved category.

the only thing to do now, is to rename your 'Errands' category to 'junk' and create a new 'errands' category.

If you can discover _how_ you managed to delete it, report this as a bug using the 'send feedback' item under the Help menu.

During the process I delete the 'Junk' category. Now the spam filter has chosen one of my other categories, "Errands" and assigns all mail in the Junk
folder to this category.

How do I find where this is set and change it back to my re-added 'Junk'
category?

Can you just add it back? I thought you were not supposed to be able to
delete the Junk category. Just checked and it's grayed out for delete.

Does quitting and restarting bring it back? What about a restart?
