1). Make the inbox display (lines, icons, fonts) look like they did in
Entorage 2004. The inbox display in Entourage 2008 is too cluttered,
and hard to tell what is new, old, on server, off server, read, not
yet read.
2). Give me a database with individual messages instead of the
monolithic message database... which causes us no end to troubles, and
is so difficult to backup or sync.

What's on
your wish list to be fixed or added?
Funny you should ask. I just sent off a note to the Entourage
feedback web
page.
My biggest gripe with Entourage is a simple one. First, note that I
use
Entourage with Preview Pane disabled. I use double clicks or keyboard
commands to open messages. I set up my message lists to sort by date
received, with oldest on top. This seems more natural to me than
newest on
top. So the scrolling thumb in my message lists is usually at the
last
received message, at the bottom of the scroll bar. But if I quit and
restart Entourage, it goes back to the top of the scroll bar. For
my IMAP
accounts, the scroll bar position is lost even if I just click to a
different mailbox and then come back.
So here's my wish: when I select a mailbox, restore the selection
state
(selected message) and scrollbar state when that mailbox was last
viewed.
This should be trivial to code - I do it in my programs. If new
messages
were added since I last viewed the mailbox, then the position of the
thumb
in the scrollbar may need to change to reflect the position of the
selected
message relative to the new arrivals. But I still think that the
last-viewed message should be selected, and visible in the list (table
view).
If the Preview Pane is visible, Entourage does a slightly better job
of
saving message selection and scrollbar states. It still loses state
in some
situations. But I don't use Preview Pane.
