I use Entourage 2004. In Users/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2004 Identities/Main Identity there are five files. As well as Signatures, Rules and mailing Lists there are Database and Old Database. Please can anyone tell me how to restore the latter. The file information declares that it can be opened with Entourage. But when I try to open it all that seems to happen is that Entourage launches with the current Database: there is no trace of the data which are contained in the much larger Old Database: the inbox continues only to reveal the much shorter list of e-mails present in the current Database. The purpose of the exercise is to restore e-mails that were deleted from the current Database when the IMAP server crashed. I also use TimeMachine so there are copies of the Databases before the crash. However the means to restore them is proving elusive.
