I just downloaded, compiled, installed the zd1211 module for Ubuntu Linux
(kernel 2.6.15-23-686). When I plug in my CompUsa USB device, dmesg shows
success. I am able to do the following:

ifconfig wlan0 up
iwconfig wlan0 mode Managed key MYKEY

iwconfig wlan0 shows that all is well:

wlan0 802.11b/g NIC ESSID:"RaBePeAs"
          Mode:Managed Frequency=2.432 GHz Access Point: 00:0E:2E:6D:93:03
          Bit Rate:1 Mb/s
          Retry:off RTS thr=2432 B Fragment thr:off
          Encryption key:****-****-****-****-****-****-** Security
mode:open
          Power Management:off
          Link Quality=100/100 Signal level=93/100 Noise level=0/100
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:49
          Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0

However, dhclient wlan0 keeps retrying and never succeeds. I know the
access point is properly configured, because it works for this USB device
under WinXP.

I would be happy to hear any suggestions!
