Hello!

I've had some time to test a few things:
Firstly, symlinking /lib/firmware to /usr/lib/firmware didn't solve
anything.
This could only mean that the firmware files themselves are not working.

So, I went to /lib/firmware/zd1211/ and deleted the firmware files that are
provided for zd1211rw.
Then I went to your website, and got the firmware package that matches the
old modules (r83), and installed those ones instead.

It worked!

This is the output from "tail -f /var/log/messages", from the time I plugged
in the dongle to when I inserted the module (with "make ins") and brought up
the interface:

# tail -f /var/log/messages

So that at least got the interface up.
However, I was unable to connect to my network. I entered my wep key and all
the other necessary parameters with iwconfig, and iwconfig also listed my
router's mac address correctly.
But it simply refused to connect. using DHCP would just time-out after two
minutes of trying....
I'm guessing thats because it not the proper firmware?..... :(

Thanks again for the help so far!

Regards,

Eugéne
