Steve, That's my (worthless) opinion, too. Furthermore, if Buddha Nature, Tao, Spirit, Comfort Zone etc. is without beginning or end, then it is omnipresent and is always present. Paradoxically, meditation and the search for Realisation are obstacles to enlightenment as Buddha Nature always is and we are already enlightened. "You hear the birds? You see the sun? Who is not already enlightened?" - Zen koan.
