Ohhh!
Try Again.
I saw the 1987 supernovae.
The first supernovae to be visible with the naked eye since the 1500's.
I used to often look at the night sky.
I recognised the constellation, later when I heard about it on the news.
I see a light too bright in the sky.
I watch and watch but it does not move, except with the night sky.
Twenty minutes more?
I wonder.
Entering my home I pass through the threshold leaving the night sky behind and
perceiving in my minds eye what it must be.
I see a revolution occur within the heart of a star and feel an echo of that
revolution occur within myself.

Some months pass and I manage to maintain an uninterupted meditative state
overnight for the first time.
I soon manage more than three days, a week and more.
A month passes in uninterupted meditation.
I know now I have sufficient control and understanding of my brain function to
make my attempt.
I am hospitalised after collapsing.
The result of a prolonged fast.
This only serves to sharpen my resolve.
Then the night comes?
Leaving a friends house I recognise what I have heard described as the
Kundalini.
I see the great serpent writhe, turning this way and that seeking.
Not seeing the truth that lay so lightly on its head.
I consider this as I walk to another friends home.
As I approach his door I believe I see the trick to it.
Passing through the threshold my foot catches and snap.
It is as though my head floats free of my body.
My friend sits in near dark playing his guitar as I sit enraptured.
Further seperations occurr in succession untill I am reduced to particles to
small to hold any form of self I recognise.
I float free, my mind seems to encompass the whole of the Cosmos and at its
heart the remnants of myself burn, particles too small burning exploding to
become no thing at all.
My awareness dwells here for a time the last vestiges of self cease.
Too week to go on I am lifted up.
Form reasserts itself without my volition.
I find I am comforted and then it all begins again.
I weep in the darkness my friend he plays guitar.
Over and over I am rebuilt without volition and destroyed.
Each time the form more complex the grasp more tenuous.
Finally I feel the process draws to a close.
Departing my friends I return home and to sleep.
I dream only of a light in the night sky.
