My Satori!
I rewrote it altering the emphasis of the language a little.

I saw the 1987 supernovae.
It was first supernovae to be visible with the naked eye since the 1500's.
I used to often look at the night sky.
I recognised the constellation, later when I heard about it on the news.

I see a light too bright in the sky.
I watch and watch it does not move, but with the night sky.
Twenty minutes more?
I wonder?
Entering my home I pass through the threshold leaving the night sky behind and
so leaving I find it, perceiving in my minds eye what it must be?
I see a revolution occur within the heart of a star and then as if in echo a
revolution occurs within myself.

Some months pass and I manage to maintain an uninterrupted meditative state
overnight for the first time.
I soon manage more than three days, a week and more.
A month passes in uninterrupted meditation.
I know now I have sufficient control and understanding of my brain function to
make my attempt.

I am hospitalized after collapsing, the result of a prolonged fast.
This serves to further sharpen my resolve.
Now it is as if no longer seeking it, it seeks me.
I feel it steadily approaching.
I could not avoid it now if I wanted to.
Fear dawns, trepidation, even dread.

Then the night comes?
Leaving a friends house I pass into the night.
Looking ahead, above the houses and into the night sky I have a vision of what
I recognize described as the Kundalini.
I see the great serpent writhe, turning this way and that as if seeking, but
failing to see the shadow of a great darkness that rests upon its very head.

I consider this as I walk to another friend's home.
As I approach his door I believe I see the trick to it.

Passing through the threshold my foot catches and snap.
It is as though my head floats free of my body.
My friend sits in near dark playing his guitar and I sit down enraptured.
Further separations occur.
A succession of quite painful separations, as if my very bones are breaking,
until I am reduced to
small particles, particles to small to hold any form of self I am able to
recognize.
I float free, my mind seems to encompass the whole of the Cosmos and at its
heart the remnants of myself burn, particles too small burning exploding to
become no thing at all.

My awareness dwells here for a time, the last vestiges of self cease.

Too week to go on I feel myself lifted up.
Form reasserts itself, seemingly without volition.
I find myself comforted.
But then it all begins again.

I weep in the darkness my friend he plays guitar.

Over and over I am rebuilt only to be again destroyed.
Each time the form is more complex the grasp more tenuous.
I surpass my desire to know, the process continues though I flee from it.
Finally I begin to feel the process is drawing to a close.
The fullness of things dawns within my mind.
Departing my friends I return home and to sleep.

I dream only of a light in the night sky.
