Anthony, As much as I may like and respect you and your practice, I CAN'T approve or affirm what you impute to the Ch'an master. I was not there. And even if I had been there, well, I am not the Ch'an master himself. He's a fellow who knows how to dispense medicine; do you?
Can you be sure what the Ch'an master had in mind? With all due respect, I doubt it. I would give the Old Man the benefit of the doubt, and try to LEARN from his advice. I did not bring up the issue of karma, even if the Ch'an master said that many people suffer from their own karma. He's certainly right about that!, and I will not worsen things by maligning the Old Man. My most wonderful teacher was a Ch'an master... many of us miss him. Talk of holocausts and dictators will not get me to lash out at the Hong Kong Ch'an master. You are not a dog, so don't bark up the wrong tree. In all seriousness! Let's talk again later, pls. --Joe --- In [email protected], Anthony Wu <wuasg@...> wrote: > If I say Hitler's holocaust victims, or Pol Pot's massacre are due to their > own karma.
