If you were to make the most beautiful sticks on Earth, and instead of 
using them on the students were to break them in front of the student at 
that same moment, and toss the pieces away to use later as firewood, you 
might get more from the sticks and put less in the students heads!

But you, old woodcutter, are a traditionalist! No shortcuts! I can 
respect that.
