Nah, that would fuck them up big time.  

The sitters on long sesshin ask to be struck when they know they need it.  I 
know how to make the sticks and how to strike.  It's a simple thing... after a 
while.  Like anything.  I bow before and after I strike.  So does she/he.  It's 
traditional on now to 1500 years.  Five times older than formal science.

Nothing's put in the heads.  That's not where it's at: As you "know"!

PS  My sticks are too fancy.  It's just not necessary.  It's just for viewers, 
and Users (Teachers, and/or Tanto officers [Monitors] ).  But the wood is the 
main determinant of good-or-bad (stick), and my shaping of it, especially.  I 
found that some pretty woods are better than some plain woods.  All pretty to 
me!  I am a tree-guy.  Second millennium wood sawyer for hitting-sticks that I 
am.
