Merle,
Science, and scientists, want folks who think for themselves. So do political
parties. Buddhism does, too. Can't we have more such folks, please?
Governments with weak(ened) economies looking for more entrepreneurs want them,
too!
Religions want free-thinkers, who accept the tenets of the teaching. This is
the means through which traditions *continue*. Non-historians of Religion will
exclaim vehemently, here, against this correct notion.
