Edgar,

Fantabulous. What a small world. But I would not want to paint it.

I knew the rather crazy lady who cared for the peacocks.

And who tended the Biblical Garden.

I knew Carla de Sola, and the late Arthur Eaton, of the Liturgical Dance
Company, there. I did Lighting for some of their productions.

I remember the Harmonic Choir performing there.

Saw the Dalai Lama there twice, and once downtown at Saint Patrick's.

And of course the Sufi teachers who led the dancing there on Wednesday nights.
I danced with them from 1974-1977.

Saw a three-hour appearance with Thich-Nhat-Hanh in Oct. 9, 1995, when I was
back East for a 25th high-school reunion in NJ. Somebody gave me a free ticket
to the sold-out event when I arrived on the steps at Amsterdam Avenue!

I usually went in "Gate 5" of the cathedral, on the South side. I liked that
metal staircase, and liked talking with the guard in the booth a bit further up
toward the School, and Garden.

Now, did you know Da Liu, who taught us Tai Chi in the School?

Surely you miss the Hungarian Pastry Shop, as I do.

And V&T's pizzas.

I thought the new sculpture on the cathedral lawn was a bit of an eyesore.

I loved the Peace Table inside, by Japanese woodworker George Nakashima. My
hands loved to touch it while the guards snoozed. Dark Walnut.
