Check the check-list.  In Buddhism, Mind is called, considered, and appreciated 
as the Sixth Sense.  I say, why not!?

Again, the senses are not faulty.  It's the unawakened or awakened mind which 
interprets them that counts.  The more awakened, the more generally true the 
picture through the senses, and the more wisdom and compassion in us, and 
through us.  The less trouble we cause, the less suffering we generate.  Well, 
all obvious.

Just sticking-up for the awakened state, and the wonderful senses.
