Even as he recanted on pain of death before the Pope about the Earth's moving
(rotating), it's imagined that elderly Galileo muttered beneath his breath:
"Yet, it moves all the same."
(or maybe he DID also say that; in perfect English, of course).
Making a discovery is one thing, but surviving afterwards is sometimes the
harder accomplishment.
Just sayin'.
