I was just making the point that you were referring to other harmful human actions to the planet and lumping them under the label of Global Warming, whereas Bill was only referring to Global Warming per se (and it being mostly caused by natural forces). I thought there was a subtle distinction that was missed by Bill (i.e communist v socialist) if he was comparing you to the woman in the video who couldn't define what 'communist' meant. Your concern about the health of the planet isn't just confined to global warming. You might be right that humans only contribute a small part to global warming and that natural forces play a substantially larger role. But it's quite clear that humans are chopping down huge swathes of old growth forests, polluting drinking water, causing the salt to destroy land thru using up the water table, acid rain etc etc. I wouldn't say Merle is like the woman who cried "Communist!" but didn't know what it meant. Regarding global warming, I would say Merle is like most of us who wouldn'tbe able to accurately state the difference between a communist and socialist.
