Joe..
i have never been able to find a teacher...
things are pretty backward in this neck of the woods..
i imagine if i shout zen from the rooftops here i'd get locked up......
it's pretty much still anglo saxon country..horses, apple farms and folk
further down the mountain who are into eating and 4 wheel driving to the
supermarket..
saying that there are good folk here that's for sure......
but no zen practitioners...
i am 70 ks from sydney so that is no option for me..
so here i am on this forum lapping up what i learn..
and i thank you for your patience..you make an excellent teacher...
i am sure of that as you have insight into where the novice is coming from and
a steady hand to guide them safely to the shore so to speak...
peace be with you cousin joe from the desert
lap up the compliment
and sing!
how's your painting going?
merle
Merle,
Aww-w, ...you're making me blush.
But, no; what I wrote is just one person's experience. But I find too that it
is pretty standard or common among those who are lucky to have good
circumstances for practice, and who have sometimes had the chance to practice
intensively with teacher and sangha.
I disavow hero status. Even with my Cousin, cousin!
