Edgar,

I think that shows good sense.

What I must try to do is to modify my engine-lathe by concocting a
treadle-power attachment and drive-belt system, and fitting it to the lathe
pulley. QED (Quite Easily Done)! Meanwhile the collapse that's impending, I
might get some healthful exercise this way, too, in powering the lathe by foot,
instead of letting Readi-Kilowatt get all the benefit.

I still find it remarkable how CHEAP utility- electricity is.

And municipal WATER, too. Even in the desert.

With the power-inverter I purchased for $15, I can pull 500 Watts of usable AC
power out of my hybrid car; the dirty-little secret about hybrids, though, is
that they run on carbon fuels. Sure, I get 52 MPG around town, and a bit less
on trips, but the beverage she sips is carbon to the core. I have not made
mine entirely "flex-fuel", yet, but I can do that conversion. A station here
sells E-85. I don't want to make the ethanol myself, and I hope it doesn't
come to that. I brew Ale(s). RAF makes fruit wines! Bill! shops at WalMart.
More power to everyone. Our desert is a great place to make good (great) use
of the Sun. Fusion-power works, for ME!

Cheers, kilo-Joules,

and Sunny dispositions,

--Joe
