Chris had a concern that Americans, as a body, in general, mis-understand or 
trivialize Zen, if I take him correctly, there.

I wrote in effect that that same body of Americans may not be so badly off, 
after all, in the degree or amount to which they trivialize or concretize Zen 
or Buddhist concepts or practices.
